45th OKTOBERFEST in FREDERICKSBURG

Oktoberfest in Fredericksburg, Texas
Celebrate German Heritage in the Heart of the Hill Country
Every October, the town of Fredericksburg, Texas transforms into the Polka Capital of Texas as it hosts one of the region’s most celebrated events—Oktoberfest. Held in the heart of downtown at Marktplatz, this annual three-day festival draws locals and visitors to come and enjoy traditional German culture through food, music, games, and family fun.
A Taste of Bavaria in Texas
Founded in 1981 by the Pedernales Creative Arts Alliance (PCAA), Oktoberfest was created to support local art initiatives and scholarships for Gillespie County students pursuing the arts. Today, the festival continues that mission while providing an memorable experiences for all that attend.
While there, be sure to enjoy authentic German fare like schnitzel, potato pancakes, and bratwurst alongside Texas favorites and classic American festival food. Oktoberfest features over 50 beer selections, including domestic, imported, and craft brews, plus Texas Hill Country wines and frozen cocktails.

With five stages of live music, Oktoberfest will be playing polka, waltz, and traditional German tunes. Get up and do your moves to the Chicken Dance or compete in the Polka contest - no matter what, you’ll find music and merriment around every corner.
